This is something I have been worried about (it hasn't stopped me from repainting my nails over and over though..), so I sent an e-mail to some chemistry guy (kemi@kemi.se, in Swedish) and asked. They said that it affects your nerves and can make you tired, so you shouldn't be inhaling it during longer periods. But to use nail polish and other related products once or twice a week won't be a problem if you are in a normally ventilated room and you don't have everything right under your nose. Here is exactly what they said in Swedish:
"De flesta organiska lösningsmedel påverkar nervsystemet så att man blir trött och dåsig. Där för skall man undvik att andas in det under längre tider. Om Du använder det en gång i veckan kan Du lugnt fortsätta. Undvik bara att sätta nagellacksflaskan eller sudden med nagellackborttagningsmedel direkt under näsan och sitt i ett normalventilerat rum när Du sysslar med naglarna."

Orly - Pixie Dust: I Did Find Some Sunlight

NOTD: Orly - Pixie Dust
So! My first Orly. I think I only own 3 Orly's. So far... But they don't seem to have that many interesting shades. Anyway. This is another polish I am not that thrilled about. *sigh* Not sure why though. Maybe it's just because I really love pinks... I dunno. I'm just not wowing over my nails when I look at them.
Other bloggers have talked about this as a gray with a hint of blue. To me it is definitely a blue. A dusty blue, but definitely blue. With subtle silver glitter.
I thought the formula was a wee bit runny, but after the second layer it was fine. This is btw 2 layers. 3 would probably be better, but when I am not superexcited over a polish I don't bother to make it absolutely perfect.

Toe Nails & Shoes: Nubar & H&M
I am not a fan of feet. Therefore you are not getting a real close-up of my toe nails.
Anyway, what I am wearing on my nails is a Nubar Moodie. Plum to Blush Red. It is supposed to change colour depending on how hot or cold it is. I can't say I have seen any plum at all. I also can't say I have tried to really heat up my feet, nor have I tried to cool them down (though they are cold most of the time). I did try this with the bottle though. I got it in the mail and it spent several hours in my mail box in the middle of the very cold winter we had this year. It was freezing cold when I brought it in. A few hours in the heat of my house...it was still the same colour.
This was a polish I did not look forward to trying at all. It looked really boring in the bottle. But I really like it on my toes. The formula is a bit watery though. Hard to get even.
Shoes bought at H&M for 99 SEK last week.

NOTD: China Glaze - St. Martini
I haven't seen sunshine for 3 days now, so these are just cloudy daylight and lightbulb pics. The colour is absolutely gorgeous, but I had problems ith the formula. Slightly streaky and sheer. This is 2 coats, not opaque, but I was too lazy to paint them more. Still really gorgeous colour though.
I am probably getting rid of OPI - Treasure I wore before this. Anyone wants it?

NOTD: OPI - Treasure
From OPI Designer Series. Which is probably why I bought this in the first place. It is sheer, this is 4 coats and it is not perfectly opaque yet. It is easy to apply, it's shimmery...and orange. I'm not a huge fan of orange. But I am a huge fan of shimmer and glitter. I'm like a magpie in that sense. I actually have a friend, Carolina, who described me as "most likely to be distracted by something shiny". That's me!
Rings from Gina Tricot.

NOTD: Zoya - Deidra
So easy to apply! No problems at all. This is a weird colour though. Kinda brownish/purplish/pinkish/grayish... But I am certain of the golden shimmer! It's a subtle shade, very elegant. Dusty, definitely dusty.
And the ring is bought at Gina Tricot just this week, for those who would like to get it for themselves.

NOTD: Zoya - Ivanka
One Nail Swatches of Zoya Sparkle
These polishes are SO wonderful! The people that came up with these were totally both awesoming and legen- wait for it....daring! I actually like Nidhi and Ivanka the most. Admit it, you thought I was gonna go for the pink and purple ones! They are gorgeous too, of course. They are all gorgeous! Nidhi is different from the others. Nidhi is red with tiny glitters of..yellow(?) in it. The others are just packed with flecks of their own colour. Except for Charla then, since that also shimmers in green. Blue, shimmering of green. I guess that makes it turquoise.
So, let's sum this up: AWESOME!
NOTD: China Glaze - Shooting Stars
My nails are a bit yellow after this red polish I had on for too long or something. So this polish is not as yellow as it might look. This is 3 coats filled with small silvery glitter and bigger silver glitter. I had no problems with the application or anything really. This is probably a polish made for layering (or a polish not made for people with discoloured nails). The yellowness does not show much at all irl though. So it looks alright here.
Anyway, so I really like the big glitter, it looks awesome (how I love that word).

Nubar At NailMail

For the Swedes: NailMail has A LOT of Nubar this month! These are only a few of them. I have ordered about 9 polishes from both Sparkle and Prisms. Very excited about these! I love everything that sparkles and shines. *squeee again*

On Seche Vite

Not that I have tried a lot of top coats, but Seche Vite is fantastic. It *really* dries fast. Give it, say, 5 minutes and you can start moving around without ruining your nails (as long as you don't hit something really hard). Another 5 minutes and it is rock solid. I haven't smudged one nail since I started using Seche Vite.
The only thing I can say that isn't perfect is that you have to watch out for air bubbles.
NOTD From A Few Days Ago: Essie - Watermelon
Sorry everybody! I went to Germany without having the time to upload my manicure! So, this is the first Essie I have ever tried. It's a creme. I only bought it because I thought that Watermelon has to be good. Well... It's a creme. And I am not a big fan of creme. But it is pretty. Very summery. Very fresh. And this is only one layer! We definitely like that!

NOTD: OPI - Royal
Well... I was super excited about this polish. It looked soooo beautiful in the bottle. But to be honest I was a wee bit disappointed with it on the nails. It is still really cool and everything, but I just expected it to be even more fantastic. This is 3 coats, maybe I needed one more.
What I felt was that the purple colour wasn't that amazing. The blue shimmer kills though, I love that. It has a lot of blue shimmer. Which is great.
